Happy Sunday, October 12, 2014.  Welcome to the second edition of our new blog
                                    "STREETCORNER HAPPENINGS"

 

I am Jackie and once again I will be bringing you all the newest current events, photos and bits of trivia since I last posted.  I hope that you find this blog to be informative and enjoy reading it as much as I do delivering it to you.  While you won't see my picture as one of the marvelous singers, you will see me throughout the shows and with Bob.  That's me above second from the right. 

       Hey, did I tell you ?   Bob Carroll and I are getting married January 24, 2015.
                                 Hawaiian Cruise, here we come.
 That's Bobby next to me on my left, in case you didn't already know.

Wow, what a night we had last evening at G. Subu's Leather Bottle in Livonia.  We not only had a guest singer but also a famous band leader join us for part of the evening.  Plus we had a birthday for one of our group members. 

Well, let me tell you about the night.

Happy Birthday Filmel !  We celebrated his  ???  birthday last evening with a song, love and a cake.
 It doesn't matter how old he is, the man is fabulous.  Ageless to be honest.

 

 

We danced, partied, laughed and had a fantastic evening. 

 

Bugs Beddow from The Bugs Beddow Band came to spend part of his wedding anniversary with us.  How cool is that?  Did you know that his band was awarded the coveted

 #1 R & B Band  in Detroit by WDIV's -  vote 4 the best?

He also just happens to be Bobby's horn coach. 

It was such an honor to have him there.  Thanks Bugs.  There he is with his lovely wife.

 

 

 

Straight from New Prospect Baptist Church we had the great pleasure of Herbert Sowell joining STREETCORNER to sing  "My Girl" .   

Such a magnificent voice.  Such an awesome man. Thanks Herbert for sharing your evening with us.

Thanks Jan for being my dance partner last night.  Our friendship is very special to me.
